| New Line Profile - DMT
Hoping someone could double check and verify that everything looks ok. I didn't get lucky with a 6Mb profile but I am on fastpath at the very least. The only difference I see compared to my 3m profile is that Downstream went from 24.5 SNRM to 17.0 SNRM
I dont even know what that stuff means but hopefully nothing bad.

| reply to HiVolt The reason that happened is because in order for me to use DMT I needed to disconnect my router. And even after resetting the IP assignments so I could access the modem, it still wouldn't go. So I rebooted the modem and presto.
I have to look into that method people talk about - telnetting into the modem via the router but I need to find the firmware I think.
EDIT: Well that was easy. I found those two commands that I didn't match up with my Firmware (Thibor) so I tried to place them in the two script options and boom, I am able to track with DMT plus access the router without changing anything else (still in bridged mode). Ill update if there are any changes in the error section after 24 hours. |

| Hi,
I once catched my SpeedTouch resetting the counters without leaving a trace... It turned out i was getting samples about twice a day and then, bang!... The counter which was high the sample before suddently went down after the reset. It is frequent to read about the SpeedTouch resetting often so this behaviour is most problematic. Moreover, that's not an isolated case, i've been able to expose the same issue with a Siemens SpeedStream 4200 and i can only imagine there are more we haven't heard of already. In any case, please try to consider using 'STMT' instead, the late Beta-3 versions is working fine for me and it allows the ST owners to capture all sorts of curves that weren't available to us before!...
I yet got to see a non-coherent glitch in ST curves but it's a relatively new resource (few people post 'STMT' snapshots) and even if it eventually happens, the rest of the curve can still tell us a complex story - which doesn't apply to the usual static numbers which are SNR Margin, RCOs, Attenuation, etc. |
