Someones a little bit of a pissy pete, aren't we?

I'll tell you that around here T-mobile is great, and I have been out of contract. My friends with Verizon seriously lack service, and often times text messages aren't received.

I'm looking forward to the launch and debating whether I should wait or not to get a new phone.

In So-Cal, T-Mobiles network is very good. It was Cingular's (PacBell Wireless) network originally, and AT&T now uses what was AT&T Wireless.

My T-Mobile coverage here in SF is fantastic. I have no issues. You can always go to their website and see street level coverage as well.

Yeah, because AT&T's 3G has such a tremendous footprint.

3G has been a laugh in the USA from the get-go. By the time these jokers get their 3G networks running coast-to-coast 4G will be widely deployed elsewhere.

i'll also say that i've been extremely happy with t-mo's network.

Now if only we can get some 1700mhz 3g phones...

We have two 3G carriers with excellent coverage... shame they use CDMA2000 1xEV-DO rather than UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA, though.

the Cali and NY markets are actually a partnership of ATT and T-Mobile. Both state this all over the place. Especially when ATT and Cingular became one.

I have had t-mobile service in the chicagoland area since 2003 and can say i am very happy with them too. They sucked pretty bad when i first got them but after a few years, they improved a lot. Every month for like 2 years, they added another tower or two. I still make a habit of checking »compass.t-mobile.com for new towers. It's a good feeling to know my provider is actually adding towers and i can look and see them online. (I think sprint does the same thing though)

I have 2 coverage issues still though. One being my moms condo in tampa. Poor signal and they have been promising a new tower for 2+ years now. And second being the cta subway system. I have not heard anything about that lately. I know at&t doesn't have coverage there either. Just cdma coverage. (I think u.s. cellular at least. Maybe sprint or verizon too. I don't know much about cdma coverage in the red/blue lines).

Hate to tell you, they are launching it next month from my understanding. Gotta sell @Home first.

T-Mobile's only good in a big, big city though. I finally, finally just have my personal cellphone. They are cute but a ROYAL PITA when a corporate one.

...Now, I just wish that crew from VZ Wireless would stop following me around. Weirdos!
