Pentangle : Not an easy install here from automatic updates. My Dell Optiplex is fully patched, pretty standard configuration. Closed all applications, rebooted, shut down anti-virus, anti-malware and software firewall. Allowed the update to proceed without interference of any kind--twenty minutes later it rebooted into the BSOD. Had to do several cold reboots before the desktop reappeared and I'd lost both my printers. The system is running more or less "normally" now but it takes forever to boot up and if I try to start any applications before it's fully booted (approx 4+ minutes) the system freezes and needs to be restarted. I'm considering using my Acronis image to revert to sp2, although never having had to do that before, it worries me. The message is that not everyone is having an easy time with sp3. :(
--
Life is like stepping onto a boat which is about to sail out to sea and sink. - Shunryu Suzuki-roshi
