<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/430158"><b>MacLeech</b></A> : The CMTS told the modem to change upstream channels. So the modem complied, disconnecting the connection to the ethernet port, changed to the new upstream channel, found it's previously stored upstream level invalid on the new channel, re-ranged on the new upstream channel, and finally re-enabling the ethernet port.<br><br>That would mean multiple upstream channels are available. Either for noise avoidance or for more bandwidth.]]></description>
