About 48 hours ago I started to receive an infinite loop of "provide your login and password" dialogue boxes when checking receiving mail. Trying to log in to send mail also failed. (Note this is for server settings that had been working for me for several consecutive months)
So last night I started to play with old legacy server addresses. I finally was able to get SMTP server working on an old sbcglobal.net legacy server (I guess) using smtp.sbcglobal.net without SPA and without SSL on port 25.
But no such luck on incoming mail for either the old legacy server of pop.sbcglobal.net . Note this is with all the variations I could of for ports, SPA, encrypted ports or not, etc.
If anyone is able to receive sbcglobal.net mail today (08 July) would you mind posting your server settings so that I can mimic that?
Thanks! |

 | To be clear, you are specifically asking about using an sbcglobal.net POP server vs a yahoo.com POP server, and you are not talking about just receiving email to an xxx@sbcglobal.net address. Right? |
