No thanks

I will never get an HD TV, it is a waste of money TV is TV as far as I concern. I rather have cheaper prices.

In my area, having Digital Starter with an HD box costs the same as Digital Starter with a standard box. SD TVs will ramp down as HD TVs ramp up. Eventually it will be tough to find. Also, once you see it, you become an HD snob.

Funny, I said the same thing until I saw HD TV at a friend's house. Now I hate to have to watch things in SD.

I pretty much avoid programming that isn't in HD. It looks piss poor, and cuts off 1/3 of the picture. Not that all HD programming is broadcast in widescreen, but most is.

I agree. Since getting my HD TV and upgrading to the HD box I can't tell you the last time I went below channel 200 on the comcast box.

Watch a couple of NFL games in HD on a 40" or larger widescreen set and you won't be able to watch an SD game again. It's amazing the difference HD makes...

Oh yeah. Not long after I watched at my friend's house I got a 46 inch Aquos. Love it.

for those in heavy credit card debt, there is no argument that justifies hd. however, if finances permit, the difference in picture quality from sd to hd is stunning. we've had hd for 2 years or better now, and we still am blown away when we see an hd program with picture clarity/sharpness that is breathtaking. again, it's not at all an issue where the picture is a little nicer; not at all---------------the picture is razor sharp & you see details that will amaze you. as they say, never say never. bub

I wonder if you would have said the same thing in 1970.

"I will never get a NTSC color TV. It's a waste of money, a TV is a TV."

NO ONE gets 1080p channels. All HDTV, whether broadcast, satellite or cable, is all 1080i.
