It seems that they can take you out of a text messaging altogether (i.e. no outgoing or incoming texts).  This will cost nothing and you simply will not be able to send or receive texts from your phones.<br><br>But either way, you cannot get out of your contract.]]></description>

If you are on any kind of text plan, you won't get charged for incoming.<br><br>Over at the TELUS forum, someone pointed out that the TELUS TOS seems to indicate you can dispute the change to the contract (and, I guess, terminate it), but only within 30 days of the change being implemented. So they reserve the right to change it, but you may be able to get out penalty free.<br><br> It hasn't been implemented yet, so hold that dialing finger just now.]]></description>
