Question on Comcast in State College

I'm moving to a new apartment complex in State College in August, which including Comcast basic cable. I tried calling the 1-800-COMCAST number to find out what the price would be to upgrade digital cable with HD (as well as their cable internet). However, I just kept getting connected to a bunch of different people who couldn't help me until I was disconnected.

Anyone from Central PA aware of a local Comcast number that I can call to get this information? Or is there anyone who's in a complex that includes basic cable and knows around what additions costs?

Thanks for any info!

As far as I know, there is no local Comcast number to dial.

I just dropped Comcast TV so I'm not aware of the prices. But internet is $42.95/month if you subscribe to another comcast service. My extended basic was $48/month (which is why I dropped it). Digital was somewhere around $65/month if I remember looking though. Someone else will be able to give you exact numbers.

Thanks for the info. I'm kind of dreading having to go to Comcast after having a great experience with service and price from D&E for the past year. Looks like I'm gonna have to fork over a bit more cash.

If the cable is included in the rent, the people who run the complex have a contract to provide Comcast services at a discounted rate for tenants. I would start by calling whomever runs the apartment complex and inquiring with them. I do not know what the prices will be exactly, but they are usually less expensive than the normal residential prices.

FYI: If you are calling in to Comcast, use the term "MDU" and that might help get you to the right place quicker. But only use that if my assumption about the contract is correct.
