[FireFox] WalMart Site in FF Not Working but IE Works

FF Version: 2.0.0.15
IE Version: 7.0.5730.13

When I go to »www.walmart.com, it works in IE, but not in FF. Simple as that...

What could be the problem? Bad coding on their end? Anybody else with FireFox having trouble with it?

It works fine for me with F.F. 3.0. Maybe something to do with the flash. Have you updated the Adobe flash lately?

Yeah, freshly installed it on the first day I booted this machine (last week). Just reinstalled Flash for kicks and it still doesn't work.

Works fine in IETab though.

Also, the navigation works, like if I go to a department, it loads just fine.

Just the front page, and what I have found, the store locater that doesn't work.

Loads fine for me, both with and without scripts enabled. (That is, that which shouldn't be loading without scripting enabled isn't, but is when scripting is enabled.)

It could be that AdBlock Plus is blocking something, if you have that installed (it's a Flash ad there at the top that's not loading for you), or you may need to install the latest 'beta' Flash-- I believe Grail Knight See Profile has given that as a solution for those who are having trouble getting Flash to render properly in Firefox 3.0.

*Edit- Btw, I love how one of the solutions offered (from your screenshot) is to "continue shopping at Wal-Mart".

I'm using FF 2.0.0.15, not 3...

1. Download flash to your desktop from here:

2. Close FX.

3. Install flash from the desktop.

4. Next unzip the flash program and copy the 3 files I listed below to Program Files/firefox/plugins folder.

NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe
NPSWF32.dll
flashplayer.xpt

5. Start Fx and test your flash player here:

6. Now go to Walmart and shop.

Walmart doesn't support standards (hence the poorly made imported goods)

Well lets try this again but with a slight variation.

1. If you still have the flash program move to step 2 if not download it again.

2. Download the flash uninstaller*.

3. Clear your Fx cache and close Fx.

4. Run the flash uninstaller*.

5. Install flash again for Fx and copy those files to the plugins folder again.

6. Use IE to install the active X components.

7. Make sure no software firewall or security program is preventing flash from working.

8. Visit the flash test site again.

Note* This will also uninstall flash for IE so you will need to use IE to visit Macromedia and install the flash activeX components after you install flash again for Fx.

Did this exact procedure and it still isn't working.

For kicks, I went to the walmart site when flash was not installed, and same message, but any of the "department" sites, directed me to download flash...

Did you try the last resort?
Reinstall Fx based on instructions here:

I'm currently running none.

Even Windows Firewall is disabled.

Have you tried Fx v3 yet? I admit I am skipping though the thread so I might have missed that.

You can export your passwords and bookmarks then install Fx v3 and see what happens.

If you try that just backup the entire Profile Folder and Fx Program Folder as well as the Mozilla Folder located in your Application Directory.

No, but is it that much better? Are all/most popular extensions updated for v3?

I wouldn't guarantee that as a fix, I know that Grail Knight didn't. I'm having some Flash problems with Fx 3. Walmart.com seems to work fine, but streaming audio and video that use flash aren't working (YouTube videos, and music on MySpace).
