| Just returned from Alaska......
Wow, had a great time.... but holy smokes, I've never seen mosquitos like that.. Imagine hummingbirds with 16ga needles to poke you with,... I've been home 3 days and still itch and that was despite slathering myself with every mosquito repellent known to man. The only respite was heading down to Seward, despite the beautiful weather in Anchorage, it was cold and rainy in Seward and thankfully mosquito free. |

| reply to cehanis Here's my moose..... On the way from the airport in Anchorage to my brother-in-law's house in Palmer.. He took me down some back roads hoping to find a moose, and sure enough.
He was kind enough to stand there a good 20 min or so while I snapped pics (at 1:00 am)only later did I learn just how mean a moose can be. |

| reply to cehanis An excellent moose shot!!! I've heard they are very large and that you don't want to be in front of one when they are running. I only know what I've seen on Rocky and Bullwinkle. |

| reply to cehanis Welcome back! Nice pics. Got any more? I remember the skeeters and the flies(the biting type) on a fishing/hunting trip. All sizes. Humungus to tiny. All biting. Billions and billions of them! (Still loved it up there, tho'.) |

| reply to cehanis I want to see more too! These are great! And sometimes the best pics of "creatures" are when you don't really know what you're getting yourself into
I'm hoping to make Alaska my 40th birthday present to myself (1.5 years from now), cruise and time in Denali. And your shots are why....... |

We just got back from Alaska 3 weeks ago. Stayed in Soldotna for a few days and then took the train to Denali national park.
Had a great time. |
