darcmage : I had a similar experience this month. The tracker showed usage 12GB over what was on my router on July 1st. I took up the issue with support and eventually received this answer.

said by "TS Support" :
As for the bandwidth tracker we've known about a couple issues for the past
few months, and as the actual tracker does not always reflect what we have in
our records on the backend(which is how it was explained to me) sometimes
there are discrepancies. What happens is that the server which records the
bandwidth has occasional hiccups and when that happens entire timeframes are
recorded at the same time instead of when they're actually downloaded. This
doesn't always happens and its not with every user so tracking every user down
and fixing each one isn't completed at this point.

Hope this helps.

I'm glad they're aware of the issue and have different records than what is shown on the tracker. When I check my bandwidth usage, TekSavvy's website shows is at something like 54GB for this month so far. But, I have a bandwidth monitor, and it reports 41GB this month so far. That's a difference of 13GB! Every month the usages are at a max of ~5GB different (from TekSavvy and my BW monitor), and that's at the END of the month. This month its 13GB already and we're not even half way through?

Any idea whats the problem? I know there's overhead and stuff... but there's no way it can account for 13GB, especially since the computer isn't on 24/7 and we are not even half way through July. Anything I can do about this?
