On demand issue last night

Was watching CSI and had to stop it for a few minutes. After 5 minutes or so, it kicks you back to the main menu. When I tried to restart it, I got a "system error" and it said try back in 5 minutes. When it finally did restart, it started at the beginning instead of where I had paused it. The fast forward only works in 2x mode with On-demand and I wasn't will to wait another 14 minutes to get back where I left off. Pretty annoying.

@comcast.net

I had a similar problem with On Demand, also while watching CSI. My issue didn't quite happen the same way your's did, but I was probably about 30 minutes into watching CSI when all the sudden a system error message popped up stating On Demand wasn't available. The On Demand system exited and when I went back in to watch CSI again, the show had somehow fast forwarded itself to the end.

You say that the fast forward only works in the 2x mode. Is that just one press of the fast forward button?

Yes. With recorded shows I can press up to 4 times. Not even sure how fast it is with 5 > things. I usually just go 3 or 4.
