Natick, MA | Software update last night?? As I turned on the box this morning, I noticed quite a few changes. First of all, I noticed that the closed-captioning WITH the box actually works. Even if you just have it hooked up via regular RCA cables. Also, if you try to fast forward when a program is already live, it reads "LIVE" on the position indicator. Also, in the main menu, I think all of the buttons are a bit smaller. And I noticed the picture jumping a little bit every now and then. What is this supposed to mean? Any help would be appreciated. |

This is part of the A25 guide update that is being processed in limited areas. I see you are in Massachusetts, most of Massachusetts is going thru updates this week.

What is the version number of the software and your firmware.
To find them:
MENU, MENU, Setup, Cable Box Setup, Configuration.
Look for S/W Version (upper left) and firmware (lower right).
Here in parts of Chicago, we got "75.58 - rel-9078" and DCT-series firmware 16.42 back in November. Supposedly, there may be slightly newer versions that also include the remote lag fix.
There is also more detailed information (includes VOD versions and dates) in the diagnostics menu. |
