Last time I checked, the CRTC has no authority over wireless companies. The CRTC doesn't even handle the spectrum licensing, Industry Canada does. Wireless in Canada is, for the most part, completely deregulated.
Facts never stand in the way of FUD here -- whether deliberate or of the "I'm just so effing self-important whatever I say must be true" variety.
