| [Help Me] DIR-655 Port forwarding same port
I recently just got a DIR-655. Great router. However, I seem to be having a problem that I have never encountered before with other routers.
I'm trying to port forward the same port (lets say port 9090) on two separate ip addresses (198.168.1.198 and 198.168.1.197). When I go and try to save it, the router says:
AddressA [TCP:9090] conflicts with AddressB [TCP:9090] on different IP Addresses.
Am I doing something wrong here? I just need to put the same port on 2 different addresses. Is their a way to do this?
Thanks! |

| It's not obvious to me that this should ever work. If you forward a single port to multiple IP addresses, which IP address responds to that port?
Which other routers support this?
Perhaps we can help you if you explain why you are trying to do this. |

@comcast.net | reply to briana well, i have a reserved ip address on my macbook pro for both its wired and wireless state, and i use bittorrent clients all the time. id like to have my ports open for the bittorrent client for both the wireless and wired addresses. |

| I think what you need to do is split the bittorrent port range in half, and forward half to the wired IP, and half to the wireless IP. I'm not a bittorrent user. You may be better off asking this in a bittorrent forum. This might help:
