Late to the game . . . maybe, but this site enters the game under a whole new set of rules. Go to the older site mentioned ablove and find out who the cable provider is where your moving (period), ohh unless you want to download a PDF file with a static list with 10 or so duh factor "moving tips" or . . . check out »www.movearoo.com and allow it to manage your entire move process with the personally/customizable interactive move calander, find out who the gas and electric company are wher you're moving, set up your newspaper subscription(s), online banking, etc. etc. etc.
Sounds like this venture is poised to deliver the same reliability and staying power as the old landline phone services you mentioned. Try making a frantic 911 call in an emergency and have to give your location or better yet when your power is out through one of "the other guys". Sometimes it's better to build the plane before you take off and attempt to fly it!!!
