NY 3G...

AT&T does have 3G in my area, but I'm kind of on the borderline of it based on the map. If anything, there is a cell phone tower that I feed off of nearby me for Verizon Wireless that is fed by fiber optic, so AT&T might be using that tower as well.

Doubt it as Verizon used EV-DO CDMA for 3G and AT&T uses GSM, two completely incompatible technologies.

Alot of towers are owned by independant companies and lease space to the cell providers... so yes, there's a decent chance that if Verizon is on that tower, AT&T could possibly be also. Easiest way is to have a friend over who has AT&T and see if his phone detects 3G coverage.

Edit: check this site, it might help out: »www.cellreception.com
