2 edits | The map doesn't show all of the 3G deployed by AT&T That map doesn't show the 3G deployed by their Affiliate, Edge Wireless. Edge was recently bought out by and absorbed into AT&T, and Edge has 3G deployed here in Mendocino County in NW CA, as well as in Humboldt and Lake Counties, in addition they have it deployed in Southern Oregon and Southeastern Idaho. We also have EVDO from Verizon here, they deployed it earlier this year.
Edit-Edge served rural and smaller town markets and did an excellent job of bringing rural areas like mine high tech, towns like Ukiah (8 miles south of me) have 3G from AT&T (former Edge Wireless), and it's less than 20,000 in population, where towns of 100,000, like Redding (Northern Sacramento Valley) are still without it. |
