(ALL) price increases

Looks like the price will increase as follows:

Economy: $20.00
Value: $30.00 (kind of pricey, don't you think)?
Preferred: $45.00
Premier: $60.00

I'm seriously thinking about moving to road island or any FIOS area.

This is a rip off and if DSL was available here, I'd be calling. Be very careful as your slowly becoming too expensive especially for down here. I hope there's going ot be an increase in speeds with this new pricing or im calling embarq and getting 256/256K DSL.

I think you meant to choose (FL) not (All). No increase on CHSI here in AZ.

You're already at the economy level with the phone line + unfees. add DSL and you're at preferred only you're getting 256/256 instead of 7000/512.
AZ just got boosted download/upload so you probably will too.

True, but he positioned his first post like everyone, everywhere was getting an increase. The casual reader may think our rates in AZ (and other locations) are going up.

Rob,

Those new prices are in my region (Cox Kansas) starting August 1st, too. My Preferred tier will be upgraded to 12Mbps down and 1Mbps up with upload powerboost. And, Premier will be upgraded to 20Mbps download and 2Mbps UL
with upload powerboost activated. Download powerboost is already activated. These speed upgrades are in time for AT&T's U-Verse services which is making an appearance sometime in October. I see lots of AT&T techs doing something around town, putting fiber in the sewers, new
boxes, etc. October is three months away. No wonder Cox is upgrading preferred and premier tiers in my area right now.

it will be interesting to see what happens here.

FWB is almost like a third world town when it comes to broadband. embarq isn't even trying. it's cox or dial up.

sometimes, i wish the FCC would say that broadband was at least 5 megs down and 512 up. not what they just did recently.

We got his with this, this month. But there wasn't any mention of any speed increases to go with it. One can only hope a 20/2Mbps with upstream PowerBoost is in the cards, but, I'm not holding my breath.
