Just Upgraded to 3mbps...how long?

Quick question...

I upgraded today at around ~4PM. I was told that my upgrade would be completed by tonight.

I'm currently still sitting on my old speed. What time do upgrades typically kick in? When I called Verizon to check, the automated system says the 17th would be the date the service is ready..

I tried restarting computer/modem and unplugging it. No luck yet. I'm dying to get the higher speed!!!

Doesn't look good to me. Some of those CSRs don't know how to process the order for today, no matter what they think. If they send it through as 7 days, it won't just move up. It won't hit the cue to process till the 7th day. Happened to me once. Hope I'm wrong.

When they really get it in for today, it's usually very quick (less than a half hour), but it can happen overnight, if it went in as within 24 hours.

You won't have to do anything to the PC, and shouldn't need to power cycle the modem either.

Once the DSLAM configuration is modified the modem will automatically resync.

I upgraded on a Friday, was told it would be done Monday night. Sure enough Tuesday modem was syncing at new speed/

Took my change a week. Times will vary.
