normat : I do like ACDSee. Some things about it just feel a little awkward. Especially when in the full screen viewer. That could just be because I'm new at it. It's rendering speed for both thumbnails, searching and full screen viewing are excellent. I don't think anything else is as fast.

I'd actually be happy with Windows Photo Gallery if they allowed it to be a bit more customizable. The thumbnail manager on that is exactly what I'm looking for as far as navigation. However, it falls short on on other areas. The Preview mode on Windows Photo Gallery is absolutely horrible and disgusting. Well, perhaps not disgusting but I really hate it. It ruins what would otherwise be a good app. If they just allowed you to specify a custom viewer to launch instead all would be perfect.

I have an MSDN subscription and I used to be able to download the Expression products. I tried out some WPF and silverlight development stuff a while back.
