Having a problem when using XP... not sure if its XP related... but there is constantly an Autoplay window running on my computer... if i hit cancel it comes back on. any idea or anyone know what this is? or how to check what this is? |

My guess -- malware. Autorun infections are very common. |

The driveletter:\ is the root folder of any partition. That is all I meant.
One way to start if you cannot tell by the time/date stamps, or the contents, if the folder is malacious is to use an on-line scanner. Both Kaspersky and ESET (easy Google searches) are particularly strong on Autorun malware infections in my experience.
Run either or both to see if they help.
Otherwise, follow the steps and post in Security Cleanup. Autorun infections are hard to clean, believe me, and an on-line scan will likely help some but not clear the issue completely. It will tell you unambiguously if an Autorun infection is at work on your system and the likely source of your constant AutoPlay window. -- ============ MS-MVP 2004 - -2008, ASAP Member Users Helping Users
