I upgraded to a new Dlink Dir-655 and have been very impressed with the speeds. are the lights on the modem going out? updated firmware on the router? what type of modem do you have.

Now that im with shaw my internet will get slow alot everyday or itll just stop working. I tried 3 routers that i have and it does it to all of them and i also tried a direct connection to my modem which is stops doing that problem and works fine. A tech from shaw emailed me and said another tech in thunderbay found a problem with the dhcp in my area. That may be BS im not to sure. Is there anything i can do to fix this? Its really annoying. I tried disabling dhcp when it just my pc online but it still happens. I have a belkin, dlink and linksys. Ill gladly go out and buy a new router if it turns out my router just cant handle the speed.
