[AZ] Odd problems This morning

I was up about 5am, trolling about the internet and all was well; then around 6:30 things started to get weird..

pages like Google, Gmail, CNN, Yahoo, Microsoft ... started either not loading, or taking anywhere from 7 to 10 minutes to load. I've tried 3 different dns servers, I've rebooted everything a few times; I just cannot figure out what is going on.

Anywho I've tried OpenDNS, I've tried Cox DNS servers, I've tried a buddy's DNS server, nothing is working... These pages are just stalling out on me or loading unbelievably slow.

I'm about to go over to my sister's place to help her out with some stuff I'll try from hers... I wouldn't be surprised if there is somthing wrong on my end (AGAIN)

Here are my current levels @ the modem..

Frequency 579000000 Hz
Signal To Noise Ratio 39.1 dB
Power Level 6.1 dBmV

Upstream Value
Channel ID 2
Frequency 22800000 Hz
Power 45.0 dBmV

Every speed test I CAN Connect to has me around 1.5Mb.... While my max download speed from usenet at the moment is only 1.2MB/s (Usually 1.5-1.8)

It was all working FINE at 5am; I didn't change anything, I got on IRC grabbed some info on a project I'm working on, did some browsing, went into Photoshop to do some work, got up to grab coffee at 6:30ish, and all of a sudden bam... everything has gone to crap.

From cox network status page for AZ

Some customers in Phoenix and surrounding areas may experience a loss of Internet services. Our technicians are aware and working to resolve the issue. Currently there is no estimated time of repair. 7/12/2008 12:32:39 PM

Just so you know, DNS is not usually going to cause that kind of latency. Thats generally a transport problem somewhere in the network. Its currently 12:30pm and everything appears to be working fine for me.

1:40PM still have quite a few sites that load so slow it's not even worth bothering with. Was over at my parent's down in Ahwatukee and theirs was fine, no issue whatsoever.. Seems like it's limited to the downtown area?

I'm around 52nd St. & Thomas, so it's more than downtown.
