It depends on whether you call cell 3G broadband

If you count cell phone 3G services as broadband. And the FCC does. Then Clearwire isn't close. Verizon 3G customers far outnumber Clearwire's numbers.

Hm, it does seem a little silly to exclude 3GSM and EV-DO from "Wireless broadband"...

I suppose you could classify Clearwire's current technology as "fixed wireless" versus "mobile wireless", but Clearwire plans on moving to "mobile WiMax", so what does that mean?
