Those aren't SBC pings. They are from your network "neighbors" on redback7 in the Bakersfield POP pinging your IP at the time. Chances are your neighbors don't know what their computers are doing or are compromised by malware.

A normally operating router shouldn't disconnect for any external reason such as pings or intrusion events. Their purpose is to protect your network from such traffic, not run away like a little girl.

So what router model do you have anyway? I doubt that it is disconnecting due to outside traffic. There must be some other reason causing the disconnects.
