Galt, CA | dish aint that bad... having a nice 2 year run with dish and having their HD package for one year of that time, i can tell you its one of the better services out there. I just got forced to move to Cox because of line of sight issues where i moved to and so far, cox HD service is a joke. the DVR is horrid, their guide menus look like they were ripped off from an 8bit gaming console, the converter cant make up its mind if it should be sending a 1080i signal or a 480i signal and half the time it sends the wrong signal. Unlike the Dish recievers which send a static signal and adjust the picture being sent over that signal to either be a 4:3 presentation or an HD presentation.
oh yeah... and dish does have more HD content than Cox. i dunno about the other providers & the amount of content, but i was happy with what i was getting vs. the price i was paying on Dish. |
