Here's Missouri's way of taxing their customers. They get Verizon to call it a "surcharge" and then Verizon has to pay the city. This is nothing more than a money extraction scheme and I'm not really sure what it gets me.
Notice the ones paying OVER 10% for the luxury of using a cell phone. St. Louis City was over 11% for a long while but has since gone down. We pay other taxes to make up for that.
