Re: Software Vs Hardware firewall I run the built-in Windows Firewall on my Vista and XP machines which are behind a Belkin wireless router. Neither my wife or I have had any issues with that combination. I like to use built-in stuff if possible instead of add-ons but that is a personal decision based on my personal risk threshold.
The real key is good encryption on your wireless network segment. Use the strongest encryption possible, ie. WPA2/WPA, with a long random key. My recommendations...
