Help, with getting exchange setup on my iPhone

Ok here is my exchange server
»owalnntexc1.myworkdomain.com/exchange/
( i changed the domain of my work company for " public " reasons )
( i got that via exchange online )

but when I try to add it to my iphone it says, " exchange account verification failed "

I tried it with /exchange/ and with out and domain\username and domain/username and with out domain just username

Any idea what could be wrong???

I have system admin rights on all servers, so any help would be great..

That looks like an outlook web access server notation.

What is the actual exchange server address?

Besides, you should know this if you're a server admin.

I am guessing it is
owalnntexc1.myworkdomain.com

That is what my boss told me it was..
he is the one who set it up..

I am not to sure if he knows..
* sigh*

How can I find it out on the server?
Thanks in advance.

The iPhone uses ActiveSync to connect to the exchange server, not OWA. More than likely your boss would have to look through the documents here: »www.apple.com/iphone/enterprise/···ion.html

To setup the server in a way that it will work correctly.

First off, when entering domain info, use the \ slash not the / slash.

Did you try using »https:// preceding your server address?

Check the Entourage / Mail settings from whatever network you can maintain sync with it.

It should be listed in there.

Do you even know what a domain is?

It should be under account settings if you're using entourage.

It's possible you can't access it directly while you're not on your company's network. Can you VPN in or anything?

I'm guessing that web-only access has been set up (for mail) and that direct access to your server(s) is not possible.

I know it is set up because once I got someone working on it remotely, I just don't remember the domain..

PLUS

we have 10 blackberrys working with it..

Blackberries work totally differently from what you're trying to do.

See the site I posted for information on how to make your exchange server work for the iPhone.

Exactly. You need to provide the "domain" and also the "server" (which will be the OWA server generally)

In my case the domain is "netjdn" doesnt matter that you can't ping it.

You need to make sure ActiveSync is enabled.

Also there are some options about device security. I don't know if iPhone fully supports them and in that case its possible for the exchange server to deny any "unsupported" device.

Is it Exchange 2003? I can give you an account on my server so you can test to see if its a server issue or not....

Are you using SSL? What sort of certificate did you purchase? Have you been able to sync a Windows Mobile phone before?
