| setting up a wireless network with Netgear router/dsl modem I took a Netgear router(WGR614 v4) which worked fine at my house to a different house I'm temporarily staying at and am having no luck getting a wireless signal going. The modem is a Speedstream 5100 DSL modem with AT&T service. Once I plug the router in the mix, the computer(PC with Windows XP pro) no longer has an internet connection and the wireless signal, although recognized by my Macbook, is no good. It's like the NETGEAR signal is there but Firefox will not bring up homepage. I've tried unplugging and replugging the modem and the router many times and have pressed the reset button on router but no cigar yet. When I call AT&T and Netgear, they want to charge for a customer technical support package and the router is no longer under warranty. Any advice is welcome. Thanks |

Now you can see you are trying to run back to back routers.
