Filemaker Pro Mobile.
How would that work, since there is no user-accesible on-device storage on the iPhone? Or you want to access DB's on a corporate network?

Syncing with my Mac, just as it works on my Treo.

Info is typed into FM Pro my Mac and is synced to my Treo via FMSync, to JFile (a Palm OS database program).

There no on-device storage? How do games save high-scores? How does mail save downloads?

There's no user-accessible storage, where you can choose where to save things. Everything gets stored in pre-defined places by the respective apps.

Well that's simple - the db is stored in an assigned location then and as you enter data it gets saved in that defined db which gets sync'd via MobileMe, Exchange, or plugging your phone into iTunes. Or some variation thereon

What I am looking for most as far as apps go is skype and msn messenger, I have both of them on my htc touch and keep the phone mostly for mobile msn, I'd be able to go to one cellphone once they get those apps.
