tpalik : I have two lines with CV, one via the D-Link TA and the other a softphone through my laptop. AT&T use a G.726 codec on the softphone which means it only needs 60kbps bandwidth including signaling. Despite this, it sounds great and works well.

I have used the client (a special version of Counterpath Eyebeam) with my Logitech USB headset as well as a Polycom C100 handsfree unit. There have been no issues.

JD : I as well have softphone. It works great when I have a good connection. I have been running wirelessly from my neighbors connection because my inet is down right now. Even with a crummy wireless connection the calls are really good. I am getting 1 bar of signal, but my speedtests are still showing I am getting over 1MBPS down and around 300 KBPS up.

Its all based off your PC configuration and the network your running off of. I enjoy the softphone because its not a physical device that can burn out or go haywire.
