Man oh man oh man I am sooo stupid.
And their first level customer service is even more stupid.
Half an hour on the phone and he couldn't figure out that 8/35 is no good for my region. Went and bought their modem too, this evening, before seeing your post.
Ugh. Thanx a bunch I'll return the new modem tomorrow.

Where are you located?

For most of the AT&T regions, you will need 0/35. I think the old bellsouth region uses 8/35.

[Split] Using a Verizon/Westell 327W with another DSL ISP

Hi there,

I've been a verizon customer for 4 yrs, now moved to new home and changed to AT&T. I tried to use the old modem, a westell 327W. version info:

Model Number B90-327W15-06
Software Version VER:03.02.00a
Software Model 4 Port Gateway
Description WireSpeed Data Gateway
Boot Loader VER:03.02.00a
Configuration 096-900096-00A

I configured it as you guys posted here and elsewhere:
8/35
PPPoE
I typed the whole address, including @sbcglobal.net
the damn thing does not want to connect.
I have the DSL light up and steady, the web interface reports good speed (3000/512) but I can't connect.
Any ideas?
