1 edit | SMCWBR14-G2 Recovering tool help. While flashing my router it appeared to be frozen up so I unplugged it and plugged it back in and now when I try to access my router it go's to recovering tool. I don't understand which version of firmware I need to recover it because it says incorrect firmware version or model mismatch with the ones I have tried. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Visit SMC's support site and download firmware for your model and upload this firmware from your recovery tool.
This will be OK. |

You can get the download for SMCWBR14-G2, just download the firmware applicable for the part number of your router. |

Inmuck, You have been around for awhile do you work for SMC?I used to beta test for them but they had a big turn over and dont seem to be the same company!Tell us the real deal! |
