Please Take The Asterisks Away

I see this morning that instead of of "Post Subject by hotlinked username" listings read "Post Subject by plaintext username (hotlinked *).

It's cluttering up the page and is as distracting and ugly as hell.

Please reverse this. It was fine before. (In fact I always thought making OP names clickable was overkill anyway.)

Yeah, I agree. It's visually distracting.

I agree.. where's the footnote?

Make the name clickable, the asterisk on every single username is unnecessary.

As well as distracting. I agree, making the name clickable would be more visually appealing.

Agreed.

Another feature that seems "cool" but detracts from the usability. Too much ajax going on

I vote to DUMP the asterisks, and put the the format back the way it was; including the column for last poster (and, I don't mean that funky, crappy interim first/last poster format that was tried last night, but the original, tried and true version that existed for these past few years). You are messing with perfection here...

EDIT: Thanks for putting the last poster back. Now, how about those asterisks?

EDIT II: On a side note, AiiIIIeeeEEEE!!! What happened to the "updated posts" page?? Noooooo-Noooooo-Noooooo!

EDIT III: The "updated posts" is starting to grow on me...doh-u-insidious-schemer-u!

I think the asterisks are stupid looking. And to be able to click that little sucker takes steadier hands than I have. Put it back. Not sure why someone would do this anyway.

Also, put the list of the last poster back as it was. how the hell can anyone read that column of smushed up stuff?

Some changes make sense, even if nobody likes them. But this all happened from bad drugs. That must be it.

It's easy... double click the word "By" in front of the username, then hit tab, then hit enter. That will activate the link. HTH

The asterisk is impossible to hit, and the name not clickable is confusing.

I like the rest of the updates page though.
