DeeEnEs Problems

I downloaded, and ran the program, choose dslreports put the account #'s in the host field, but it returns unknown error message.
Could someone help please?

So I remote connected into home to look while I'm in between meetings.

I have DeeEnEss setup to use DynDns.org as a web based determination of my public IP address. I'm behind a router, as most folks are now, and DeeEnEss can use dyndns.org as the mechanism to get my IP address.

So here's a screen shot of the Properties page in DeeEnEss:




Then setup the Account like I have below. You get the hostname value from »/monitored/mine and it's your id number for your line monitoring.




Is that how you have things set up?

Under the properties page how do I setup the DynDns?

Looks like you might have a # in your "account" field. I don't show a # when it shows the update. Looks like you might have 3 accounts set up. 2 with the same id though one has a # and the other is different. Verify the id.

Since there's an IP address shown I'm guessing that it is picking the IP correctly.

I removed the ones with the # sign.
Still get the error message.

Now when I try and change the account settings in DeeEnEs it closes down on me.
I can get into every thing but accounts now.

Maybe uninstall and re-install. Should take 2 mins to setup again

I'm not sure where all it save files to, I have done a search, and came up empty.
When I delete the folder where it unzips to, and reboot it still has the same settings.
So I'm lost on where it saves its setting to.

I'll look when I get home. I would guess an ini file or registry. Should hopefully find something within the hour to try.

Went to the registry, and found all of the entries, and deleted them .

Was able to set it up again, looks like the same problem.

Could the unknown error but that my ip is right?

And you are sure the number 239368 is correct and you've properly entered your DSLReports id and password in the setup for the connection?

Yes
I rebooted the modem to see what happens.
At the most I have to change it myself.

That didn't fix it either.

I created a new account with the DSLR number off by 1 and I get the same error as you. Maybe one of the folks that has access to confirm your number is 239368 or if there's some log on their end that shows you have the correct user/password entered it might help you out.

...and confirmed - 239368 is the correct monitor number.

Try downloading again, Ronnie - as suggested earlier
And what link are you getting the program from?

And I have reinstalled it after cleaning out the registry entrees for it.
Was the only way to get it to work again, after a new and fresh download.
