Ok people. Thanks for all the positive responses so far, always has been a reason why I like this community.
I'll try these suggestions later tonight, and give some more updates.
I'm even going to start out by doing a hardrest of the router as well and see what speeds I get. |

| Ok, this is officially driving me nuts.
I've tried all the setting people have mentioned.
Then I even reset the router to factory defaults, and disabled the routers wireless signals.
It's still acting weird. I then did the exact same setup two different times for Computer 2 and then 3
Computer 2 XP -> router -> modem ->outside world = 4Mbps
Computer 2 XP -> modem -> outside wordl = 6.2Mbps
Computer 3 Vista -> router -> modem ->outside world = 5Mbps
Computer 3 Vista -> modem -> outside world = 6.3Mpbs
Now then, on all of those 4 tests I did a 10MB download. On both machines if I went through the router(with default settings) I was only getting 750kbps.
WTF is going on? I'm calling Linksys, cause their product shouldn't be causing this much drop in speed with a straight through connection.
I'm highly upset at the moment... I hate getting on the phone with them.  |
