In fact, except for  when I first did my setup, I dont think I have ever accessed the 5102S' admin page. <description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1470516"><b>JD</b></A> : Are you able to get a dialtone when you connect from M-TA?<br><br>Sounds like its your router if you are able to get it right to the modem...  If thats the case its the registration ports that are being blocked.  Either open ports 5060-5062, or try a DMZ mode.  <br><br>It seems like the 2 firmware versions the others are talking about could help as well.  <br><br>I have had NO issues running an ATA or softphone wirelessly from a WRT linksys on original firmware.]]></description>

There is a forum with lots of members to help, a WIKI, and a download section. The software is free!<br>The actual process of installing the firmware is pretty easy for the linksys.]]></description>

You should, however, be able to do it from your 5102S if you log into its current IP address.  Across the top you should see a "Basic" tab and then on the side a "WAN" tab.  Select Static as your WAN mode and then give it an IP address in your subnet but out of the range that the WRT54GS gives DHCP addresses.  <br><br>For example, your subnet is 10.0.0.x.  Your DHCP range may be 10.0.0.100-149.  Give it an IP address in the 10.0.0.1-99 range.  Click "Save Settings".  If still nothing, DMZ your adapter (this will have to be done at the router) as was suggested.<br><br>Also, installing DD-WRT (&raquo;<A HREF="http://www.dd-wrt.com" >www.dd-wrt.com</A>) or Tomato (&raquo;<A HREF="http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato" >www.polarcloud.com/tomato</A>) would be a good idea.]]></description>

Can you help me out where you set this up on the WRT54GS? <br><br><b>Fisasmo</b>:  I just wanted something easier to memorize when I changed the ip address of my router from 192.168.1.1 to 10.0.0.1  Besides, the other devices connected to the LINKSYS router, were automatically assigned an ip address starting with 10.0.0.100  Even the change back to default ip address of 192.168.1.1 did not work with a DLINK DVG-5102S set up as DHCP <br><br><b>TxPres/CallVtGuy</b>:  When you set up your DVG-5102S, what was your WAN mode setting:  Static, DHCP, PPTP, or L2TP  <br><br>Please excuse my ignorance; but what is DD WRT and how can I obtain this software and do I install it in the same manner when I upload a firmware update? ]]></description>

I have the DVG-5102 behind my Linksys WRT150N running DD-WRT on the linksys.  <br><br>After installing DD-WRT, I enabled Qos and assigned the MAC address for my DVG-5102 to "premium" status.  It just works.<br><br>I can download files or load a Firefox bookmarks folder of 25 sites with NO impact on call quality !  <br><br>With the stock Linksys firmware, I would sometimes hear popping or cracking when using significant bandwidth.]]></description>

I finally flashed my Linksys with DD WRT and have not had a single problem with the TA behind the router. By the way, I really like DD WRT. It is so much more flexible than the Linksys firmware. I have now installed it on both my kids routers also.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/505101"><b>msickles</b></A> : I would try to have the device with a static IP/DHCP reservation and then place in the DMZ.<br><br>This has worked well for many sites with a TA behind a NAT router.<br><br>Just as long as you do not change the IP to the 192.168.15/24 or 192.168.100/24 and you stay within RFC 1918 blocks:<br><br>     10.0.0.0        -   10.255.255.255  (10/8 prefix)<br>     172.16.0.0      -   172.31.255.255  (172.16/12 prefix)<br>     192.168.0.0     -   192.168.255.255 (192.168/16 prefix)<br><br>You will be fine.]]></description>

Have you tried the default 192.168.1.x subnet to see if the TA would work any better?  I would be surprised if this resolved your issue, but I'd also doubt that too many people change their routers from the typically-default 192.168.x.x set of addresses.]]></description>

Has any ATT CV customer experience any difficulties in connecting a DLINK DVG-5102S behind a LINKSYS WRT54GS using the factory settings (which is DHCP) for DVG-5102S?  <br><br>For my DLINK DVG-5102S, I had to setup my WAN to be "Static IP" instead of "DHCP" in order for it to work; but based on replies from individuals on this forum as well as "VoIP Tech Chat", the TA should have been able to work as a plug-and-play.  <br><br>Below is information about my LINKSYS WRT54GS:<br><br>Firmware Version    :  1.52.5<br>MAC Filtering       :  Only for Wireless Connections<br>IP Address          :  10.0.0.1 (instead of 192.168.1.1)<br>Number of DHCP Users:  50<br><br>Also, I am including web simulation on the setup screens for the DVG-5102S:<br><br>&raquo;<A HREF="http://www.support.dlink.com/emulators/dvg5102s/login.html" >www.support.dlink.com/emulators/&middot;&middot;&middot;gin.html</A><br><br>Any suggestions would be most appreciated.<br><br>Thanks.<br><br>Babylon5]]></description>
