Pur a Sierra 597 air card__Antenna connector Question+Answer

Sierra says it uses a " SMK TS-9 external antenna connector. Anyone know if this is the same as the connector on the Sierra 881 Aircard? or maybe Franklin 680 ?

Note; Just purchased a new Sierra Compass Air Card 597 USB on E-Bay from a seller who promised/mentioned that the ESN # was clean... So its ready to go on Millenicom...

Found adaptors later from Wilson

AirCard 775 359912 End

PC3320 AirCard 359912 End
PC5220 AirCard 359917 End
PC5740 AirCard None* No Port
PC5750 AirCard 359919 Side Port

Shows a Wilson # of 359912 which is similar to many Older Sierra Air Cards. Then we can google "Sierra 359912" and buy one from nearby. Thanks anyway looking fwd to using the Sierra 597 USB

Hmmm have my New USB Sierra Compass modem and find that the Wilson # 359912 is not the correct connector. The socket on card has a female, center pin, receptacle. Gotta have an antenna connection with least around -100 DBm. to authenticate !

I suspect Alex at 3 GStore has the correct adapter, just ordered one. »3gstore.com/index.php?main_page=···s_id=854
Listing 1 x U727 / USB727 / 597U Antenna Adapter Cable (32-0057-02) for $13

Saying it's the same as the Sprint U727 and Verizon USB727 Cards. He also sells the Sierra Compass USB modem contract free for we Millenicom users who don't frequent E-Bay for $250. »3gstore.com/index.php?main_page=···s_id=845

Note; The proper pigtail was ordered and arrived in 2 business days FedEx from 3G Store. Fits very well.

»evdo-tips.com/Sierra%20Compass.htm (correct address? Jack_In_VA) has the Sierra Compass USB modem for $125, no contract and free shipping. Much better deal than eBay or 3GStore. I'm not sure how much trouble it would be to have them switch the device from what you may have now though. My 595U bit the dust and I had to get them to activate a U720 Ovation which made me feel like I was being a pest - even though they very politely and quickly got that activated for me. Best customer service experience I have ever had.
