bcfuzzylogic : Alright so I went outside to where the line is connected from the poll to my house to find it directly connected to a 2 way splitter (Assuming one goes to my upstairs and one to my basement where my modem is connected). The one heading into my basement is literally floating inbetween a few sets of bushes and some grass and then into my house. It had been raining a few days here so this coax l line appears to be like dripping wet.

This is not a joke. I have never, ever touched this line, I barely ever go near the part of my house where it's connected to.

Could this line possibly be the reason why my internet has been total shit lately? Water logged or maybe even cut in some areas? Also, can I replace this line myself with some new cable and set it in an area it will be out of the weather and most likely stay dry?

Thanks!

Puffnstuff : What router? Not all are created equal and a cheap one will trash your internet connection. I used a d-link for about a week after my linksys wrt54gx was hit by lightning and it totally screwed my internet up. I thought my modem was damaged but it was the router all along. I replaced it with a linksys rvs4000 and took that pos back for a refund. Now my internet is back to normal for everyone on the network.
