Re: New users get att.net instead of bellsouth.net? That's a good question. I just don't know.
I bet Carl up there might know because he just set up a new FastAccess DSL account that uses an att.net User ID and e-mail address.
Carl was just here a couple hours ago and when he comes back maybe he will see your reply and answer this question for us. |

I'm not sure about servers, as I solely use AT&T Webmail when I use my att.net e-mail account.
When I get home (posting this via laptop and AT&T AirCard, traveling along I-10) I will try it and report with results.

 | Anybody know which mail servers to use? I called tech support and they said mail.bellsouth.net but that did not work either. |

 | Hi Automate: I understand you might have an issue with the mail server name. I just finished setting up a new account ending with att.net. The proper outgoing and incoming mail server name is 'mail.bellsouth.net'. I'm in Cary NC. Hope this helps. |

 | Thanks BobHelms, mail.bellsouth.net is working after I unchecked the "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" box. |
