I guess the point I am making is that those new trans-pacific links are rationed, so regardless of what your link speed is 100 Mbps fiber or 4Mbps DSL, your access to anything mainland will be limited to what ever the ISP pays for.

If all one will access is a web server in the resort lobby in Kona, then you definitely have something.

Well we'll have to see what happens. I have HawTel 11Mbps DSL.I get pretty good speeds. For example I can download music off of ITunes at 1Mbps.
