When one employee comes in, The one on duty signs the incoming one in, and the Incoming one signs the finishing one out. <description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/610684"><b>tmaertin</b></A> : I do not work on the etime side of ADP but I can tell you it works from a money standpoint to pair it with an ADP payroll product.<br><br>Another nice feature is the ability to import the data to your payroll software (eliminates handkeying of hours/earnings and some permanent employee data). You do not need ADP software to do this - as long as your payroll software can accept a .csv file you are good to go.<br><small>--<br>Hike up your skirt a little more, and show your world to me.</small>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1032917"><b>mnmark</b></A> : We're running PeopleSoft HRMS 8.9 Time and Labor for all hourly (non-exempt) employees, who punch in and out using TimeLink timeclock devices.  Some salaried employees are on a timesheet as well, to calculate shift differentials and such if it is part of the market pay.<br><br>For the rest of salaried employees, they report exceptions (PTO, jury duty, work from home, etc)...we don't capture project-specific hours.<br><small>--<br>I like things.</small>]]></description>

We had to charge even the smallest amount of time spent on things to specific project codes.  At the end of the week I could run a report that would tally everything up by project and give total hours worked as well.<br><br>It doesn't run very well under XP but I'd be willing to give up the source code if you want to migrate it to a newer development platform.  It tracks time across startup/shutdown of the PC as well. My direct reports submit their timesheet via their service orders. Their service orders are submitted when they send it on their PDAs. I approve their time in SAP. Once a week someone in the office exports the approved time to Excel and emails it to the Payroll department. <br><br>It's better then every Friday trying to read someone's sloppy handwriting on a paper timesheet.<br><small>--<br>I am looking for population control volunteers.</small>]]></description>

Which jobs, what times, what zones or miles.<br><br>End of the week, I fill out a paper timesheet, filling out the job numbers, time started and ended, zone or miles, and misc. expenses.<br><br>I total everything, figure out my expense check (zone/miles, allowances, per-diem, etc etc) and then sign it. I am salaried and usually work four 11 hour days (nights).<br><br>I also have to perform timekeeping for our non-exempt (hourly, but not really- they get a salary but also overtime) staff.  I use a web app that is fed by a punch clock for this, also utilize a paper sheet as a backup.  Timekeeping can be a pain in the ass when you have to edit a lot.]]></description>
