Editing an audio WAV file: how?

I have a class recorded as a file which plays on Windows Media. I simply want to shave off the beginning and end (and maybe edit out some questions from the middle).

Is there a simple program that does this? Does Microsoft Movie Maker (which came with my computer) do this?

thank-you
