[southwest] TV audio turns itself on

Two different times on two different TV's this morning the audio came on without the box or the TV being on. The TV's do not have a sleep mode. THe light on the set top box was off and the TV power light was off but the set top box showed the last station the TV had been on not the time. CAN YOU HELP?

OK, if neither STB or TV were on, how did you hear anything? Just wondering...

I turned the box and the TV off this morning in the breakfast room at 5 AM. My roommate was sitting reading the paper at 8AM when the TV suddenly went on but only the audio and without the set top box being on.

It is now 9:25PM and we just got home. One of the TV's is on again. The box is showing the correct time and is off. The TV is on but only the audio of the last channel that was on before we turned it off and left.
What could be happening????

I just called Verizon again and the guy said it was because they were updating the software. Thbey are supposed to also turn the tv off when they finish. This is supposed to be the last time this will happen until next month.

The tech also said he hoped it didn't bother me. For two women living alone for a man's voice to start talking in the middle of the night? Of course not...
