| DMA2200 Extender
Hi there..
I'm getting ready to order a DMA2200 from Linksys. I have tried several Dlink media boxes and others and they been terrible to keep running...
So I'm upgrading to Vista Premium from XP and want to stream movies primarily in HD. I understand they have to be in certain formats - anyone have one and tell me which HD formats worked the best?
Also, I plan to go wired since I already have ethernet to my home theater for several other devices - overall, are you happy with this box?

| reply to pstewart I use a combo of Tversity & my PS3 for all my streaming.
For HD content I use mkv2vob to make my HD content compadible with the PS3. It works flawless and only takes a couple minutes to change the container.
Of course, blu-ray's work with the PS3. But I have yet to drop $40 for a new movie release on Blu disc.
When you get yours up and running can you give a quick review on pro's and con's of this box in HD? It looks interesting. |

It still sounds GOOD, but it is always nice to be able to use DTS if you have it. |

| Interesting... it changes mine to pure 2 channel (boring) audio
Maybe it was my version at the time - have to check and see, haven't tried it in a long time so maybe better...
Either way, just got update that my order will be in tomorrow for the Linksys so we'll see....
Cheers! |
