| WUSB300N not connecting properly to WRT600N
Ok, so this is my second network trouble shooting post in 2 weeks. Some of you may remember the first one with the WRT600N router hampering download speeds. I got that fixed.
So, background on the new problem. router - WRT600N is a dual band router. I have the following settings on it:
Band 1 = 5GHz, set for wireless N network connections. Band 2 = 2.4GHz, set for wireless G network connections.
All the portions of my network are connected to the correct Band except one.
Which is my Vista x64 desktop. It uses the WUSB300N network adapter; which is supposed to connect to N networks.
However, no matter what I try, the only "wireless" network that it sees is Band 2.
Anyone have a clue why? |

| reply to larue05 Because the WUSB300N is a single band (2.4GHz) adapter. The Linksys WUSB600N is dual-band (2.4 and 5GHz).
Just because an adapter is "N" doesn't mean that it is dual-band.
