[hard drive] USB 2.0 drive kit problem

Hey guys, I have one of those usb drive kits that you put a regular internal hdd in and it makes it a external usb drive. The problem I'm having is, I put a 320 gig WD hdd in it and it only sees 120 gigs. I've tried all the jumper settings and even replaced the original ribbon cable with a 80 wire IDE cable....same thing. Is 120 gigs the max this thing can see or what?

The detailed info on the thing is this:
USBX-840
USB 2.0 Drive kit ADS Technologies, Inc.

Thanks for any input.

Guess I should use a little knowledge before posting these questions I have. After thinking about it, I went to the disk management and seen that 170 gigs is unallocated. I installed Acronis disk management suite to combine the 2 and bam, not it sees all 320.

Partitioned it with pre-SP1 XP perhaps?

NO, his drive had a 160 gig in it and I gave him a 320. He's always used SP2, but the drive enclosures old, so maybe he did partition it with SP1..who knows? Will that cause that?

5 mins with Aconis done the job! Thanks for your replay!
