Ok, I can't think of what step I'm missing.
Nvidia 8800gts
HP w2207 LCD
Win XP Pro
Due to some bad RAM I've reformatted my computer.
Now I can't seem to get out of 800 x 600 4bit color
I'm sure it's something silly that I'm missing. I just don't know what...
I even got the newest drivers from nvidia's own website
Nevermind I fixed it, just not too sure what it was.
Maybe it's just late.
